Norby honoured with life membership

In June 2017, the AFWA hosted a successful tour and AGM, organized by co-chairs Dianne Finstad and Jennifer Blair, in the Red Deer area. Our annual tour and AGM is the highlight of our year, and the co-chairs certainly delivered, with over 30 AFWA members taking part. We visited: Nixon Honey, Gisler Boer Goats, Daines Ranch, Edgar Farms, Red Shed Malting, Yff Dairy, Jungle Farm and the Alberta Pork Congress and Urban Farm at Westerner Park in Red Deer. Sponsors for our annual tour included ATB Financial, Alberta Beef Producers, Glacier Farm Media and Alberta Milk.

One of the highlights during the 2017 tour/AGM was presenting long-time AFWA member Reg Norby with an Honorary Life Membership. Congratulations Reg! Reg joins other illustrious AFWA Honorary Life Members, including Ross Halseth, Jack Howell, Janet Kanters, Ron McCullough, Bill Owen and Ric Swihart.
