Alberta to lead international conference in 2023

The Canadian Farm Writers’ Federation will host IFAJ 2023 in Alberta, following a successful application process to the CFWF by AFWA/MFWBA members to host in our province. AFWA members will be heavily tasked to take on much of the planning, with considerable assistance from other provincial association members. We hope to begin initial planning later this year.

The International Federation of Agricultural Journalists (IFAJ) represents more than 5,000 communicators in 45 countries who support freedom of the press. These communicators focus on sharing new technologies and information relevant to the agricultural industry.

Each year, IFAJ hosts a congress in a different part of the world. In 2011, Canada (CFWF) was host to IFAJ, in Ontario. The AFWA/CFWF is excited and ready to host IFAJ in 2023.
