HLM Nominations Now Open

AFWA is now accepting nominations for Honorary Life Member (HLM), the Association’s highest honor. HLM recognizes members who have made a significant contribution to agricultural communication and/or rendered eminent service to AFWA.
Nominees must be AFWA members for at least 20 years and have demonstrated leadership in agricultural communications.
As of last year, the committee made a few updates to the award, but the award’s primary purpose remains unchanged: to recognize members who have made significant contributions to our organization.
Key updates:
Committee Eligibility: Committee members are now ineligible to nominate individuals for the award or to be nominated themselves.
Membership Requirements: Previously, Honorary Life Members (HLMs) were not required to pay annual membership fees to remain in good standing. This exemption continues for the 12 existing HLMs. However, any new nominees must pay their membership fees to maintain their association status.
Deadline to apply is March 31, 2026
