AFWA Launches Two New Bursaries for Members

The Alberta Farm Writers’ Association is excited to announce two new bursaries to support member attendance at national and international agricultural journalism conferences. Each bursary provides up to $1,500 to help cover costs for AFWA members in good standing.
The AFWA-IFAJ International Bursary supports travel to the annual congress of the International Federation of Agricultural Journalists.
The AFWA–CFWF Bursary helps members attend the Canadian Farm Writers' Federation Conference.
Recipients will be recognized at the AFWA Spring Tour and will share their experiences through webinars, social media, and an e-newsletter article.
Applications are open now and are evaluated by a committee of AFWA board members.
Deadline to apply for both bursaries is May 15, 2026
